Tiramisu

History has it that Tiramisu is a classic Italian Dessert. Well, I haven't heard about this before. The first time I came across this was in 'Food world' chocolate rack yesterday when my brother picked up one. This is one of the flavors, Cadbury's have introduced under the Desserts genre.
I told him, am not sure, if this will be good. 'I have tasted Kalakand, and it is not all that good!'. This is enough reason for my brother to pick it up.

'Ka..kaa..kaa..' Sani Baghwan utchathile irukum bodhu enaku ippadi Asareeri ketkum! and I usually ignore that...today again!

We did some window shopping in Spencer's and went to the car park. Dad and mom in the front and their 2 good kids in the rear seat. Yeah, good kids! good enough to spend the sunday evening with parents. Good enough to go to Spencer’s with them. Good enough to share a chocolate bar with them. Good brother, especially, as he opens the chocolate and gives a small slab to his sister. Alright, you are not watching a Vikraman movie. So, I stop here…

Now, if the sister was also good, she should have said 'brother you have it! and if there is anything left over, give it to me'.. Eppadi? adhan 'kaa..kaa.' kathuche! So, I put it in my mouth. (idhuvaraikum ellam okay...)

apuram dhan en naakule Sani thandavam aadinaar! And the conversation follows

Me: 'Aha..Rum madhiriye irukku!, yeah, definite Rum flavor dhan! idhule liquor irukka enna?'
Brother: 'cha, idhu Dairy milk dhan..ularaadhe'
Me:(excited) 'nejama, it's reaching the head..quite strong'
(by then, dad, mom and brother had popped it into their mouth)
Brother: 'Aama Rum e dhan! ippadi vaasanai adikudhu!'
Mom : (naively) 'enaku onnume therialai!!' and asks dad 'Appadiya irukku?'
(tricky question, but dad answers carefully!)
Dad:(smiles) 'smell varudhu!'
Brother:(excited) night le full bar(note the word!) saapitutu, police oodha sonna prachanai ayidum pola irukku!
Mom: 'Adheppadi Rum nu ivangaluku therium?' (pudichanga da point ai!!) 'Enaku appadi onnum therialai?'
Brother and me: sethom!!
Me: 'Rum taste therinja, idhu therium' (nakkaluku idhuva neram)
Mom: 'Ungaluku eppadi theium?' (konjam stern a)
Brother : silent...
Me: amma, idhuku munnadi US le irundhu kondu vandha liquor chocolate saapitu irukom illa?
(smart answer)
Mom: Eppo? nee vaangitu varaliye? (cross examination!)
Me: Naan illai ma!, pakathu veetu Kalyani aunty kodutaangale?!

Mom didn't seem to believe...but atleast the conversation stopped... but, dad, had a smug!

Thinking back, Tiramisu, was actually not that strong!! but definitely tasted like rum.
Thevai illama, over a build up koduthuten. The wrapper did not have any indication of liquor in the ingredients.

After googling, I found that, Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert with liquor as an ingredient!
